Bavarian Forest Treetop Path – Europe’s Green Roof

Over treetops to mountain peaks…
In the midst of the Bavarian forest, a special discovery path winds through tree trunks and over Bavarian treetops: the accessible Treetop Trail is 1.3 kilometers (0.8 miles) long and leads up to a 144-foot viewing tower. The trail offers visitors a bird’s eye view of the Bavarian forest. With a little bit of luck and a cloudless sky you might see the Bavarian Alps.

The Experience
Experience the Bavarian Forest from a different perspective: on the treetop walk. This is a true iconic experience for all generations. Even being above the tree tops is already an amazing feeling. While younger generations find it highly "instagramable", all the other will experience nature like never before: from top down instead bottom up.

There is a lot more to discover. For example "the upside down house". It is a house that stands on the roof. Literally. This will be, especially for the Instagram users, a truly amazing firework on likes and comments. And of course, it will also be a unforgettable memory for the whole family.

Quiet corners, narrow alleys, century-old houses with facades that tell stories and – right in the middle – the 68 meters high city tower with its striking five spires: Welcome to Straubing at the Danube.
